Local Bay Area Agencies

When money is tight, sometimes the best option is to find a local agency; their fees tend to be cheaper than private practice therapists, as they are often subsidized by the government; it's a good place to start looking.  While I can't personally vouch for the therapists you would see at these agencies, I do know good therapists who have worked or trained at each, and I respect the quality of the training they received.

Other Supports

Also consider other self-care options, such as group therapy, meditation groups offered by local temples or churches, AA or similar anonymous organizations.  Many of these services are inexpensive or even free.
